רָכַס

רָכַסto stamp; (denom. of רֶכֶס) to make a ceiling of cement (v. מַעֲזִיבָה). Ylamd. beg., quot. in Ar. אימתיר׳הקב״הוכ׳ when did God form his upper stories with water as cement, v. רֶכֶס.(b. h. רכס to fasten. Pi. רִכֵּס to stamp; esp. (of beasts) to pass over wetted grain; to husk (differ, fr. דּוּש). B.
